Senior Account Manager

Responsible for leading and supporting public relations, community engagement and marketing activities for a diverse group of local and regional clients. This position will work on multiple accounts and is responsible for providing strategic counsel and support which delivers measurable, high-impact results. The ideal candidate possesses a broad understanding and working knowledge of public relations, marketing, social media, partnership development, event production, and advertising.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the development and management of integrated communications programs for a wide variety of high-profile clients.

  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact, project and budget manager.

  • Lead and work closely with internal teams and partners to develop innovative ideas, programs and campaigns.

  • Support and/or lead the management of media outreach, monitoring, tracking, measurement and reporting.

  • Grow existing portfolio of clients, as well as proactively support new business opportunities

 ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Planning

  • Program planning and leadership skills which reflects sound strategy and demonstrates creative, brand aligned thinking.

Project Management

  • Project management skills, including goal and objective setting, and implementation of strategies, tactics, logistics, timelines and team resource allocation from start to finish.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and apply resources effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

 Communication 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening; effective presentation of ideas; and ability to communicate with clients, vendors, media, and others on the phone, via email and in person -- including client correspondence, presentations and new business pitches.

  • Ability to effectively explain and guide clients regarding the rationale of campaign strategies and tactics.

 Media Relations & Social Media

  • Effective storytelling capabilities with skillset to identify news angles and write effective pitches, news releases and other media materials; possess a solid knowledge of AP style, news media operations, news outlets/reporter beats; and a regular consumer of local news outlets (print, online & broadcast).

  • Strong experience working with and integrating social media strategies and tactics into all aspects of communication programs, including social media advertising.

  • Excellent social media content development (organic and paid) and community management.

 Professionalism, Accountability & Initiative

  • Great work ethic, self-starter, calm under pressure and willingness to think beyond the traditional.

  • Strong team player with a positive attitude who is collaborative, communicative and transparent.

  • Willingness to support their team and provide assistance whenever, and wherever, needed.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong interest in Greater Seattle and community initiatives and events; and establishing deep community connections.

  • Ability to lead project teams of up to five team members.

  • Ensure profitability of programs from beginning to end.

  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.

  • Willing and available to work occasional evenings and weekends, as well as overnights when required for business-related travel.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
